For time with a partner:
21 thrusters (75/115 lb)
12 rope climbs (15 ft)
15 thrusters (75/115 lb)
9 rope climbs (15 ft)
9 thrusters (75/115 lb)
6 rope climbs (15 ft)
– Each partner completes the designated number of thrusters, then split rope climbs as needed.

SKILL WORK

Pre-workout:
On an 8:00 clock:
Build to a heavy 2-rep thruster from the rack

Target Time | 9:00-14:00.

  • Today you and a partner will work through a descending-rep combination of thrusters and rope climbs.

  • Each partner will complete the designated number of thrusters, then split rope climbs as needed.

  • Shoot to work together to finish this one in under 14 minutes with the 21 thrusters in under 2 minutes and the rope climbs or chosen variation at a 3 reps per minute pace.

  • We’ll use the warm-up to practice maximizing the length of each pull on the rope by leaning back further.

  • We’ll also take time before the workout to build to a heavy 2-rep thruster from the rack.

  • Have fun and hit this one hard!

In honor of Senior Chief Petty Officer Thomas J. Valentine, 37, of Ham Lake, MN, died in a training accident in Arizona, on February 13, 2008.
