June Member of the Month- Jamie R.

Name: Jamie Rosebrugh Age: 37

What do you do when you’re not at Callie Co. Wellness: I am a busy person. I thrive in chaos and demanding schedules. Raising two boys, working two jobs, maintaining a household, growing my relationship with my partner, loving on my adorable golden-doodle, but best of all is when I find that sliver of time to read a book in the sun or sign up for a new challenge to push myself mentally/physically.

What are your goals and why did you start coming to Callie Co. Wellness: I have always loved to be in the gym. When I was pregnant with both of my children I maintained my gym habits and felt great mentally and physically. After moving to Pickford 6 years ago and dealing with some personal trauma in my life- I let my gym habits rest. I found comfort in food and unhealthy behavior. My goal was to show up at Callie Co., get back into that habit of feeling euphoric through sweat and hard work. Slim down the extra fat I gained over that 6 years and get back to a safe space mentally.

What is one thing you have done since starting Callie Co. that you never thought you could do: Box Jumps! Through building muscle and gaining such positive friendships I feel like I can be present at the gym and do anything. I might not be at a certain level in a movement but I like to say yet. I am not there yet! I keep surprising myself weekly with the gains I see in myself and best of all, when I see these gains in my friends.

“I keep surprising myself weekly with the gains I see in myself …”

What would you say to someone who is nervous about trying a class: I would start out by inviting them to a 6:30 Tuesday evening stretch class. I attend this class and love the atmosphere, it gives you a sense of hard work but a great stretch reward. I would explain that when I started that is the class I attended to break down my nerves. Our gym is wonderful, whether you are mega strong or just looking to gain some mobility- each class is geared to our individual success. I cannot praise this business enough for truly saving my mind, body, and soul.

Coaches Comments:

I am so glad Jamie is part of the Callie Co. family. Her physical growth has been incredible to watch. I think the biggest thing that sticks out to me is that when she started she struggled to hold herself on the rig and she is now crushing workouts with her pull-up and toes-to-bar variation. Jamie is a person that is all in, she works her hardest and has learned she is capable of way more than she knew. She use to need a bit of encouragement to do heavier weight or a harder variation but her mental strength has grown and she can do what she puts her mind to. She’s setting a great example for her two boys and has even had Jake join the gym. Jamie is always encouraging new members and really wants to help people be their best. Thanks for being an amazing member, Jamie. You deserve this!- Callie

From a gym standpoint: You will find her eager to learn the “why” and the proper technique behind doing new things, encouraging others, and putting in the work. Even if it means homework to practice new moves until she conquers them. She is one of my new comers to the Nutrition Membership Group and jumped right in and is doing amazing with a future spotlight feature coming in near future -Stacy
